Almost two years post-baby Cate helped me start to have fun getting dressed again! Though I’ve always enjoyed shopping and styling myself, I hadn’t been feeling comfortable in my new body and had started dreading packing for work trips or prepping for events. After 100s of unsuccessful online orders, I found Cate. She quickly understood what I needed and helped me refresh my wardrobe with pieces I started to wear right away. Shopping with Cate was fun and efficient and 1.5 months later I’ve attended a black tie wedding without worrying, easily packed for a work trip, and have gotten multiple compliments on my new pieces - more importantly I’m feeling more confident getting dressed and more at ease in my own body.

It's not about how much you own or which designer you wear, but how what you own fits you and what to look for when purchasing something new. This I learned from working with Cate. Unfortunately, in the past I've been seduced by either the celebrity endorsed article of clothing or the high priced accessory when making fashion decisions. As a result, my clothing either never fit right or my "fashionista wears" never looked good despite the promise made by the ads.

After Cate and I chatted and looked over the magazine pictures of various looks I liked or would feel comfortable wearing, we attacked my closet. And three hours later, I had a much clearer understanding of what fit my body best, what from my own closet with some tailoring would achieve the look I felt most comfortable in, and a list of a few article of clothing or accessories I needed to purchase to round out my wardrobe.

What I really appreciated about my session with Cate is that she took the time to understand who I was. Cate takes into consideration what your interests are and what your life-style is when giving fashion advice. It wasn't about trying to make the latest trends work or buying a entire new wardrobe but rather my work with Cate focused on finding and understanding a style that fit my needs and life. At the end of our session, I cleared my closet of old, unworn clothing and gained a better sense what looks good on my body. As a result, I have greater confidence when shopping and making decisions about fashion.

Cate Sheehy is the best style investment I ever made. Because of Cate, I now have the perfect wardrobe for both work and play. We spent a Friday night shopping for clothes and shoes. By the time the evening was over we had enough clothes for around 60-65 outfit combinations!!!!! The total shopping exceeded what I needed BUT stayed within my pre-set budget. Cate uses a little online portal where she posts photos of all the clothes combinations and to which you can add your own. Very handy. Cate is flexible and accommodating with her time; she listens; she helps me stay focused and knows just how to guide my choices. Cate has worked with me as a personal stylist numerous times. First, a couple years ago before a press event in Europe that I was more than a little anxious about. I loved my experience working with Cate! We have now done two shopping trips together and it was definitely worth the investment. She is incredibly knowledgeable about clothing, trends, styles, fit and brands. What amazed me was how much she was able to teach me about these things in just a few hours of shopping together.
